Chief Executive Officer
Neil Helm is Chief Executive Officer of the OzForex Group and sits on the Board of Directors. Neil has operational and financial accountability for the performance of the Group, including all sub-brands and international operations; OzForex, UKForex, CanadianForex, and NZForex. He directly oversees operations in all areas of the business.
During Neil’s tenure as Chief Executive Officer, OzForex has recorded impressive year-on-year growth. In 2010, Neil successfully led an initiative to secure a minority growth investment from Accel Partners and The Carlyle Group. Under his leadership the company continues to expand, with employee headcount boosted from 30 in 2007, to more than 120 in 2012.
Prior to joining OzForex in 2007, Neil held the position of Head of Operations at Macquarie Private Wealth for Macquarie Group, as well as Business Manager for the Foreign Exchange Division at Bankers Trust Australia. He is an AFMA Accredited Individual and Responsible Manager and holds a Bachelor of Science with honours in Pharmacology.
Neil is the father of five children and lives on Sydney’s northern beaches. He is an avid surfer.
Head of Asia Pac
Simon joined OzForex in 2009 as Head of Strategy and Growth. Based in Sydney he is responsible for the end to end operations for Asia Pac, including Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to joining OzForex, Simon worked in Macquarie Group's internal Business Improvement and Strategy consulting team working on a variety of growth and process improvement initiatives in both central functions and market facing business units.
Simon brings over 14 years of consulting and delivery experience to his role from a career that includes two separate periods as a management consultant broken by 4 years undertaking increasingly senior roles in strategy, marketing and product development for leading telecommunications provider, Vodafone
Simon holds a BA in Economics from the University of Nottingham in England. Simon is a father of 2 children, lives in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and is a keen triathlete.
Head of Marketing
As Head of Marketing at OzForex, Chris Minehan is responsible for directing customers to the company’s online foreign exchange platform and ensuring they enjoy the highest standard of service. In this role, Chris is primarily focused on enhancing the overall OzForex customer experience.
Since joining OzForex in 2009, Chris has worked on the growth and expansion of the business, re-launching the OzForex website, launching OzForex’s mobile offering & mobile applications.
Holding over ten years’ experience in online marketing in Australia, the US and the UK, Chris previously worked as a Senior Product Manager at amazon.co.uk and prior to that, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
Chris holds a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University, and completed his graduate studies in International Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.
Chief Technology Officer
David has been with OzForex since 2002 when this then small internet business was based in a garage on Sydney's Northern Beaches. During this time David has enabled and overseen the rapid growth of the company from an Information Technology perspective. Originally joining as a software developer, David played a fundamental role in developing the platform and architecture of our dealing and administration systems and now oversees several very capable teams who continue this work whilst he remains very much hands on.
As CTO/CIO, David is responsible for ensuring the efficient, secure and reliable operation of the company’s growing global IT infrastructure as well as providing guidance and direction for the continued development of our very successful in-house software applications. A key to this role has been a deep technical understanding combined with the ability to view things from a business perspective.
With 20 years’ experience in IT and over 10 of those within the internet industry, he has previously held key roles in both Australia and the UK in industries as diverse as payment cards and systems, media, telecommunications and finance. David feels lucky to live on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with his gorgeous daughter. David kids himself that he is a capable enduro and 24 hour mountain bike racer!
Chief Financial & Operating Officer
Mark Ledsham joined OzForex as Chief Financial Officer in April 2008 and was also appointed the group Chief Operating Officer in September 2011. Mark is a member of the Executive Committee. Since joining OzForex, Mark has developed a robust financial control framework and partnered with the Executive Committee to drive the company’s strategies.
Prior to joining OzForex, Mark worked in the finance department of Macquarie Group’s retail section, BFS, and was responsible for the financial management of the sections strategic investments.
Mark brings over 11 years’ experience working in public practice and both privately owned and publicly listed international companies.
Mark graduated from The University of Manchester, where he gained a BA Honours degree in Accounting and Finance, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004.
Head of Northern Hemisphere
Mike Ward joined OZForex in 2012 as Head of the Northern Hemisphere. Mike has responsibility for the sub-brands UKForex, CanadianForex, USForex and ClearFX in Europe with all operational and financial accountability.
Prior to joining OZForex, Mike was part of the leadership team at Jameson Bank. Jameson was an established Commercial Foreign Exchange company which in 2008 became Canada’s 22nd Schedule I Bank. Mike held responsibilities over sales, trading, marketing and strategic growth of the bank.
Mike holds a BS in Business Finance from Liberty University in the US. Mike resides in San Francisco with his wife and in his free time enjoys playing hockey.
Global Head of Compliance
Jason Rohloff is the Global Head of Compliance at OzForex holding the regulatory positions in Australia and United States: AML/CTF Compliance Officer for OzForex, Responsible Manager for OzForex AFS License, Compliance Officer for USForex. Jason manages all key banking counterparty relationships.
Prior to joining OzForex in 2007 Jason spent four years at Macquarie Group and prior to that, three and a half years at Westpac Bank. Jason has fourteen years of broad operational experience working with retail, wholesale and institutional clients across a number of financial products and services including foreign exchange, equities, cash instruments, bonds and unit trusts.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, a Diploma of Financial Markets from the Securities Institute of Australia and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services from the Australian Financial Markets Association
